As a company and as individuals, the MegaMex Foods family is committed to environmental goals daily. Our plants set both short term and long-term sustainability and efficiency goals and our product innovation teams are regularly exploring packaging options that further reduce our carbon footprint.
Fresherized Foods Plant, Sabinas, Mexico: CDP Climate Change 90 (out of 100) with an industry average of 67
2018- Signed an agreement to decarbonize the electricity in our Mexico processing facility with wind power
Freight emissions: capital expenditure product in 2018 to leaser tractor trucks on EPA’s SmartWaylist to improve our fleet efficiency. These freight upgrades will result in reduced fuel consumption and Scope 1 emissions.
